Gas was $2.99 at a couple of gas stations on my way to work this morning. I never thought I’d be this happy to see gas be $3.

Unsurprisingly to most of you, I’m voting for, and support Bob Barr for president. The longer the campaign goes on, the less I like about Obama and McCain.

I can’t seem to ever write a proper blog anymore. I’m not really sure what’s been up with me lately, but the writing inspiration has gone away. I think it’s mostly the job, because I’m not at a desk in front of a computer all day anymore.

Andrea and I are going away for the weekend of the 11th. I can’t wait. I really need some time away. I’m taking off the Friday too, so that makes it even more awesome.

We’ve been in the house almost a full month now. It’s kind of hard to believe it’s only been that long. I feel like I’ve lived here my entire life now.

We don’t really get out of the house much, because money is a bit tight. Once we get ourselves situated better, and can formulate a good budget, I think we’ll be ok.

For anybody who reads this who doesn’t know, Andrea and I have been in our house now since Friday night. We love it. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s ours, and that’s incredibly awesome.

I suck really bad at this.


Andrea started her new job yesterday. She was kind of overwhelmed, but I think it’s going to work out fine.


I still don’t like my job, but I’m dealing because I need to pay my bills.


Andrea and I are moving into the house Friday. That gives us a nice long weekend to get adjusted to sleeping there.

We have internet, cable and phone at the house now. I posting this on the laptop hooked up to the cable modem. It almost feels like home now. We’ll be moving in for good Labor Day weekend. Our goal is to move in Friday night, so that we’ll get accustomed to sleeping here by the time I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

I haven’t written a proper blog post in a long time. My job still sucks, but it pays the bills. Andrea just found out this week that she has a full time position in in the fall at the local Intermediate Unit. It’s the break we needed right now, so we’re rather giddy about it.
We’ll probably be moving into the house after Andrea’s had a pay or two. We have one more room to work on, and the steps and upstairs hallway, but it’s liveable at this point. The last room is going to be fun, because we’re going to have to gut it completely and start all over.

Other than that, it’s pretty much the same old, same old.

I’ve just had the longest two weeks of my life.
I worked a ton of overtime, including yesterday and the previous Saturday. I’m so looking forward to the upcoming three day holiday weekend, and our vacation on the week of the 13th.
I don’t think I’ve looked forward to vacation this much since I was a little kid.

I still don’t really like my job, but I can tolerate a lot more now. It pays the bills, and the benefits are pretty good.


We are almost done with the house. We only really need to work on the back bedroom and steps. We could really move in right now, but it’s easier to work while not living there.


Andrea has an interview at a very close school district on July 8th. We’re hoping it goes well.

Holy. Shit. I just watched the Half Season finale of Battlestar Galactica on On Demand.
