I was noticing that I hadn’t had any comments yet, and then I saw that for some reason the comment form wasn’t coming up. I’ve fixed it now, so comment away people.

As some of you know, I’m in the process of buying a house right now. We’re getting closer on it, but I just want the whole thing to be over now. We’ve been working on the whole thing since somewhere around October of 2005. I’m really not in any hurry, because they longer I wait, the easier things will be money-wise, but the setbacks are starting to get frustrating.

First we had to wait to get the deed cleared, then three days after that happened, the nice lady were buying it off of passed away, so things had to be cleared again as they got the estate ironed out. So that got taken care of, and I signed all the paperwork for the loan application and stuff, and their lawyer sent a letter to the credit union, because it would be difficult to get a bill of sale because there are three different names on the deed, and they all live in different states. Well, we just heard back that that won’t work, so they have to get the bill of sale now. Who knows how long this is going to take. If the house wasn’t such a deal, I would have given up a long time ago. I can’t pass up a three bedroom house that only needs a little bit of work for 23k though, so I wait.

It’s absolutely gorgeous out this weekend, and I’m ever so happy about it. It felt great to put shorts and sandals on today before I left the house. Hopefully the combination of better weather and me starting my new daylight job soon will lift the rather surly funk I’ve been in lately.

We’re cooking good steaks on the grill tonight, because tomorrow’s my birthday. My parents offered to take me out somewhere, but I’d rather just chill out at home, especially with the weather being this awesome. I just need to pick up some beer on the way home, and it will be perfect.

I’m glad that I’m going to be moving to daylight soon. I think that these last couple of years of working midnight are starting to get to me. I could probably sleep 12 hours a day, everyday, right now if I was able to. I’m a sleeping machine.

I’m hoping that the shift change will bring about some other changes in my life. Lately I haven’t had much of a drive to do anything other than hang out at home, or maybe the coffee shop. I used to go to shows a couple times a month and such, but I just don’t have the urge to do it. Maybe I’m just getting older or growing up or something.
