13 reasons why Linux should be on your desktop

A couple of years ago, the Linux desktop was a pimply adolescent with half-baked ideas. Today we see a handsome, well-dressed grown-up who handles a range of tasks with confidence and even performs fancy tricks. No longer need we make allowances for his dress sense or his strange habits.

I suck…

at blogging.

Things have been rather crazy lately though. We’ve been working on the house every weekend. Right now there’s no bathroom in it at all. Starting this weekend we’re going to start putting stuff back in there. We can be finished with a couple weekends of solid work. I think we are going to tackle the dining room next, then either our bedroom, or the living room, depending on how the money situation holds up.

I’ve started playing WoW again. I don’t have much time, but I’m squeezing in what play I can.

I’m getting a new PDA for Christmas from my mom. I thought I’d be fine when my Zire 71 dies, but I’ve come to realize how much I relied on the thing, so I’m getting a shiny new Palm T/X. I couldn’t imagine using anything but a Palm.

I’ve starting using twitter too. I’m hoping that maybe that format is more conducive to my style. I’m not going to abandon this blog or anything, but my twitter, which is linked on the left, is more likely to be updated on a daily basis.

Andrea and I went to the mountains this past weekend for the Flaming Foliage Festival in Renovo, PA. We had a good time. I took Friday off to go up, and as much as I love long weekends, I always hate coming back after them.
