Dead phone and other random stuff

My phone took an unfortunate tumble into an inch of water today. Luckily, we purchased the insurance when we bought the phone, and it covers water damage, so another G1 will be waiting for me when I get home tomorrow. Sometimes I feel like my phone is my only true connection to the outside world, and I’m rather attached to it. Some of the guys at work know this, and were joking that I should be on a suicide watch until I get my new one. I don’t think I’m that dependent on it, but apparently some people do.

The new Leatherface album is pretty damn awesome. It’s called The Stormy Petrel, and is their first album since Dog Disco in 2004. It’s been too long.

Our Saturn has been in the garage for a while now. We should be picking it up tomorrow. I’m glad that my parents live close and that they have 3 cars so we have one we can borrow. We’d be screwed without that.

things are still a work in progress around here. I think I like the theme that I’ve installed now. It’s very plain, but very much my style. I’ve been doing rather well with the regular posting as well, but it’s only been a couple of days, and it’s all been site related stuff. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up a more regular posting routine. I feel like I need to, because I’m paying for the site.

As much as I liked drupal, it was very overkill for a personal blog site. I thought about going back to textpattern, but wordpress is much more common, and supported.

We just got back from a week in Ocean City yesterday. I’m glad to be home, but I still wish I was there too. We had a good and relaxing time, which is exactly what we needed. We had some good food, which there is a lot of in Ocean City, bought some interesting things, and just generally hung out.
