I know we’re only two months deep in 2017 so far, but there have been three outstanding albums that have come out this year that I feel like I need to let every one know about.

1. Cloud Nothings -” Life Without Sound”  The last two Cloud Nothings albums were absolutely killer, and this one is no exception.  I was hooked about a minute into the first track.

2. Japandroids – “Near To The Wild Heart Of Life”  I will admit that the first Japandroids album, “Post-Nothing” didn’t really grab me, but I’ll be damned if their follow up, “Celebration Rock”, wasn’t absolutely fantastic, and this was the perfect follow up.

3. Scorpios – One Week Record  I never thought we’d get a new Scorpios album, due to the death of one of the founding members, Tony Sly, but surprise, 2017 has brought us a One Week Record and I couldn’t be more stoked. It’s just what I needed. I don’t know what the rest of 2017 will bring musically, but I’m pretty sure if these are the only albums I dig that come out this year, I’ll still be happy.
